Generator Preventive Maintenance

During a Preventive Maintenance Visit, our service technicians will perform the following items: Semi Annual Preventive Maintenance Visit: During a Semi Annual Preventive Maintenance Visit our service technicians will perform the following items: Visually inspect generator sets physical condition. Visually inspect generator sets electrical wiring for signs of overheating and insulation break down. Engine Oil Sample. Inspect fuel system for leaks. Check electronic governor connections and actuator. Visual inspection of radiator for leaks, damage, and obstruction. Check radiator coolant level. Test coolant for proper antifreeze percentage and conditioner level. Check belt tension and inspect for cracking and fraying. Inspect pulleys for excessive wear and lubricate hub bearings as needed. Check jacket water heater for proper operation. Check oil level. Check and record battery charger for proper charge rate. Check inlet and discharge louvers for proper operation. Inspect air filters for plugging and deterioration, clean if required. Adjust governor control for optimum performance and frequency. Adjust voltage regulator for proper voltage. Check proper operation of engine and generator instruments. Annual Preventive Maintenance Visit: During an Annual Preventive Maintenance Visit our service technicians will perform the following items plus the above listed items: Connections Torqued. Preventive maintenance on the Start Batteries and load test. Oil filters changed. Engine Oil changed. Air filter changed. Fuel filter changed. After the second year the Coolant will be changed. After the second year the Coolant filter will be changed.
