Whether you are looking for a replacement of an existing battery string or a totally new battery room layout, PSS has the experience and knowledge to perform the job right. PSS performs numerous Battery Installations through out New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and Connecticut of both Wet Cell and VLRA Sealed battery systems. The battery system is the heart of every UPS and DC Plant system. A poor battery installation can result in loss of power and possible equipment damage. Our customers rely on us to insure that the battery installation are done right. We perform turn key battery installations and certify that the batteries are installed to the battery manufactures specification. For battery installations done by others, PSS can perform a Battery Certification of the installation. When performing a Battery Certification, PSS works with the project engineers and insures that the battery installation meets the battery manufactures specification and the installation meets the guidelines for IEEE STD 450 & 484 and any other guidelines that the project engineer has laid out. At the completion of the installation and start- up of the battery system, PSS issues detailed reports certifying that the battery installation meets all specifications required. For Battery Certification PSS can provide: • Written procedures for system Battery Certification. • Pre-inspection of the racks and spill containment system. • Inspection of the battery installation prior to charging. • Battery reports with readings prior to initial charge. • Battery reports with readings after initial charge. • Battery run downs and readings. • Infrared / Thermographic scan of the batteries during battery run downs. • Detailed Reports.
